This policy covers two very different things: our website and services (which collect some information, described honestly below) and the Calmo app (which is built so that we cannot collect your financial data at all). We wrote it in plain English on purpose.
1.Who we are
Calmo Money ("Calmo Money," "we," "us") is a personal finance company. We offer educational content including the Quiet Wealth book, and the Calmo mobile app. For anything in this policy, contact us at privacy@calmo.money.
2.What we collect on this website
- Email address — when you join our email list.
- Contact and intake information — when service booking opens, whatever you choose to share to set up a session (name, contact details, and the financial situation you describe).
- Order information — when book pre-orders open, the details needed to fulfill your order. Payment is handled by a payment processor; we never see or store full card numbers.
Today this site sets no cookies and runs no analytics. If that changes, we will update this policy before it does.
3.How we use your information
- To send you emails: money strategies, product news, and promotional offers — from Calmo Money and from select partners. These are recurring marketing emails, and every one includes an unsubscribe link that works immediately.
- To provide the services you book and fulfill orders you place.
- To respond when you contact us.
- To comply with legal obligations.
4.How we share information
- Service providers — companies that help us operate (email delivery, payments, scheduling), bound to use your data only to provide those services to us.
- Marketing partners — if you are on our email list, we may share your contact information with select partners so they can present offers we believe are relevant. Where state law treats this as a "sale" or "sharing" of personal information, you have the right to opt out — see Section 5.
- Legal — if required by law, court order, or to protect our rights.
What we never share: anything you enter in the Calmo app. We couldn't if we wanted to — it never reaches us (Section 6). Nothing you tell us by email is used as marketing data or shared with partners.
5.Your choices and rights
- Unsubscribe — every marketing email has an unsubscribe link; it takes effect immediately.
- Opt out of partner sharing — email privacy@calmo.money with "Do not sell or share my personal information," and we will stop sharing your contact information with marketing partners.
- Access and deletion — you may request a copy of the information we hold about you, or ask us to delete it. We honor these requests regardless of which state you live in.
6.The Calmo app — a different promise
The Calmo app is built so your financial data never leaves your phone. It is stored on your device, encrypted, with the key in your device's secure storage. The app requires no account, performs no bank linking, and contains no analytics or tracking of any kind.
We can't sell your app data. We don't have it. There is no server holding your transactions, no database of your balances, and nothing for us — or anyone else — to access, breach, subpoena, or sell.
Joining our email list or using our services does not connect to or reveal anything inside your Calmo app.
7.Children
Our website, services, and app are for adults. We do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 18. If you believe we have, contact us and we will delete it.
8.Changes to this policy
When we change this policy, we will update the date at the top. For meaningful changes — especially anything about sharing — we will tell our email list before the change takes effect.
